Wendy Cox is an artist specialising in landscapes painted in the environment of Pett Level, since 2002. This is a landscape I have known since childhood. I study the subject in paint and try to find its physicality in a few colours. On the final day the paint is put down quickly, straight from the tube of paint, using a full palette of colours to express the essence of the day.

If the final painting does not work, all the paint is removed and the process is repeated.

Wendy studied at St Martins School of Art and the Royal Academy. She has specialised in oil paintings of Pett Level since 2002.
